Our School Year Is Off To A Great Start!

We are starting our first full week of classes at EHBi and I'd like to thank our teachers and staff for all of the hard work and preparation over the past several weeks to have a successful school opening.  It takes a true team effort from maintenance, food service, main office, and educators to make this happen.  I also want to thank our families for the many ways your support your child to be ready for school to start again.  As a parent of four children aged 6-13, I appreciate what it takes to get everyone back into school routines and all the ups and downs that go along with it.

PTAC Meeting Next Week
Our first PTAC meeting of the year is next Tuesday evening, September 16 at 6 PM.  This will be a virtual meeting and a link will be sent Tuesday afternoon to join.  We look forward to welcoming back those who have participated in the past as well as anyone who is ready to jump in with new ideas to help with fundraising and enrichment opportunities for our students.  More reminders will be sent between now and the meeting next week.

Important Drop Off and Pickup Reminders
We have greatly improved the efficiency of our drop off and pickup routine in the lower parking lot.  For safety reasons, we are asking all families to drop off and pick up in the lower lot, and not to park and walk students to the door.  The Dennis Police have been receiving concerns from passing motorists about cars parking on 28 during arrival and dismissal.  They will be placing barriers along the side of the road to prevent any parking in these areas.  We have many staff members who are ensuring our parking lot and drop off/pick up areas stay safe.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Bus Stop Drop Off
Families were notified earlier in August that elementary students must be met at their bus stop by a pre-approved pick up person.  The school district is no longer granting exceptions for any K-3 student to be let off at their bus stop without an adult to meet them.  Students will be returned to EHBi if there is no one to meet them at the stop, and the main office staff will contact families if this occurs.  Please notify us if you have any questions about this policy at 508-398-7690.

Virtual Backpack
We receive many important notices from our community partners and organizations about exciting opportunities for students to join sports, recreation, scouting, and other youth activities.  All of these notices are posted in our Virtual Backpack, and can be accessed any time through out website or through these ParentSquare posts.  We update the information as we receive it, so please check often!  At the moment, there are flyers from YD Soccer, the Dolphin Dash 5K, Art Reach, and Miles for Mental Health.
