Save the Date for the EHBi Family Dinner!

What:  EHBi Family Dinner/Book Fair

When:  Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm in the EHBi Cafeteria. The Book Fair will be from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the Gymnasium.

Why:  The Family Dinner is a chance for all of our families to gather together and enjoy the simple – yet powerful – act of breaking bread together.  Families will be treated to a scratch-made meal prepared by our wonderful DY Food Services staff.  We are using the theme of "Stone Soup" once again as our inspiration -- where we approach a variety of local farms and businesses and ask them to donate whatever they can.  We then shape the menu based on these donations. We will have scratch made soups, salad bar, breads and coffee & desserts.

What You Can Bring:  We are encouraging families to bring a dessert that is special to your family to share with other families. If you do bring a dessert, we recommend you bring on a disposable tray and please label if it has any nuts.  Families will sit "family style" to encourage guests to get to know one another as they enjoy their meal.

How You Can Help:  This event also serves as one of our school-wide service projects.  We are asking attendees– if they are able – to make a donation of non-perishable food items or hygiene products to help local families in need.  All donations will benefit The Family Pantry of Cape Cod which serves residents across the Cape.  We will have a collection bin at the Family Dinner.  We will also have a collection bin in our school entry to leave a donation if you are not able to attend.  The event is a powerful lesson for our students in cooperation, especially amid scarcity.

"Food may not be the answer to world peace, but it's a start."

Important Reminders

Late Arrivals
We continue to work with the bus company to ensure all students are able to start their school day by 8:58.
Now that our parent drop off routine is flowing well, we will be closing the gym entry door at 8:58. Students who arrive after the door is shut will need to be accompanied to the main entrance by a caregiver and the office will issue a late slip.
Time on learning is important, and we want to maximize every minute of our school day!
