Our First Full Week of School

We have just finished our first full week this school year, and we are off to a great start!  The buses are running on time, our classroom communities are coming together nicely, and we are all learning to follow the Dolphin Way by being responsible, respectful, caring, and safe every day.  

Today's Baker Beat has information about upcoming important dates including Open House, PTAC events, Picture Day and more.

Open House Schedule

Thursday September 24
  • 6:00-7:00-Grades K and 1
  • 6:30-7:30-Related Arts (Music, Art, PE, Spanish, Library)
  • 7:00-8:00-Grades 2 and 3
We are looking forward to meeting you next week at our Open House.  Teachers will be in their classrooms ready to greet you during the scheduled times above.  We will also have tables for several community groups and agencies in the gym.  Parking gets very busy, so please be respectful and avoid blocking other vehicles or parking on private property.  

PTAC Updates

Our PTAC held its first meeting this past Tuesday evening and we had a great turn out!  Thank you to parents who were able to attend on Zoom.  We are in the process of planning several exciting family events as well as fundraisers to support field trips and enrichment opportunities for students.  Our first fundraiser is underway-the always popular pie sale!  A fundraising sheet was sent home in your child's backpack this week.  Here is all the information you need to get started!

Sewer Work Alert-Route 28

Trotting Park Road Access Limited

Due to ongoing sewer work next week, Trotting Park Road may only accessible via detours to Center St. You will not be able to turn down Trotting Park Rd. from Route 28.  Please follow all posted detours and directions from traffic officials.  You can read the Town of Dennis wastewater project updates here.

Check Your Emails for Legacy Studios

Picture day is October 1.  The school district is using Legacy Studios for all school photos this year.  Please check for a message from this company in your email and pre order your photos if possible.  We have some paper forms we can send as well.  Please contact the office or your child's teacher if you would like one. We will keep you updated as we get closer to picture day!

First Early Release Day

September 30 is a school district early release day, with dismissal at 2:00 PM.  There is no PM preschool on early release days.

Please plan accordingly for the bus to arrive early at your stop and send a note with any changes to your regular dismissal plans.  Thank you.

YD Youth Hockey

Learn to play hockey with YD Youth Hockey! Ages 4-12 years old - must have completed basic skills training.
2 sessions held at Tony Kent Arena - 9/11-10/9 and then again 10/16-11/20
